Papafigo Camping is a small family campsite opened in 2021 in the charming village of Salvela near Vodnjan (Istria). An exclusive retreat in an olive grove offers a mind-blowing view of the sea and the Brijuni islands – the only national park in the area.

The 4-sun campsite can accommodate up to 60 persons and is open from spring to autumn, during the most beautiful months in Istria. Discover the charms of Istria, enjoy the adventures and gastronomic delicacies that this area offers  Glamping tents, mobile homes, pitches or Villa Voliera – whatever you choose you can’t go wrong!

The campsite is run by the Buršić family: Mladen and Morena introduced a whole new world to their children Roberta, Leonarda and Mauro, and assigned each member with responsibilities best suited to their skills. While Mladen is in charge of management and supply, which involves going to the market each morning and picking up fresh local groceries, Morena is the lady of the ‘house’ and looks after finance. The children make sure that their guests have a memorable stay: Roberta welcomes them at the reception, Leonarda ensures that their day starts off with great coffee and breakfast (and is a handywoman, too!), and Mauro is here to help with all sorts of ‘little’ things, like checking if PS5 is functioning properly…

The campsite comprises a central building with the Papafigo restaurant where guests can enjoy for breakfast dishes made from fresh local ingredients typical of Istria and the Mediterranean. There is also a wellness zone with a steam bath and a Finnish sauna, a hot tub and a massage area.

The outdoor swimming pool has a surface area of 146 m2 and is divided into two parts: one with a water depth up to 25 cm (ideal for children), and another for adults. It also features a sundeck with sun loungers and umbrellas, free of charge for the campsite guests. For the youngest ones, there is a park with a slide and swings, and a media room with gaming consoles.
